Yes, providing it’s within a transaction also purchasing an adult ticket. Our tickets for ages 7-17 are called “Young’Un” tickets and are available from the ticket page of our website.
Yes, “Nippers” tickets are free of charge for children ages under 7, but they still need to be ordered via the booking process.

Not exactly. If you are booking tickets for a group please ensure all parties have a copy of the e-Ticket and barcode which they can produce at the festival box office in exchange for their wristbands.
GETTING TO THE FESTIVAL
We have a stunning new site location for 2018!
We are excited to working with the Barr family at Cinderhill Farm, Cawthorne near Barnsley – just a stones throw (the other side of the village) from our previous site.
The Site Entrance has no postcode but is located between Kexborough and Cawthorne on Cawthorne Lane.
Please use J38 from the M1 and follow the UTSF signs to the site entrance. If you are approaching the Festival from other local road links – please follow UTSF signs to the site entrance.
Access to Cawthorne Lane MUST be from Kexborough.
There is NO ACCESS For FESTIVAL TRAFFIC through Cawthorne village.
LOVE OUR NEIGHBOURS
We have got LOTS OF PARKING SPACE on site.
If you are driving to the event then please be respectful of our neighbours and residents of local villages as you approach and leave the site. Please DO NOT park on local roads, or laybys. We can’t avoid there being some traffic disruption at the beginning and end of the festival but please help us to minimise the impact on local communities.
The nearest rail stations are Darton and Silkstone Common.
The are both a distance 4 miles away; by car 12 minutes, bicycle 30 mins.
There is an hourly service to Leeds via Wakefield Kirkgate and Castleford northbound and to Sheffield via Barnsley southbound. The service is two-hourly in each direction on Sundays.
Barnslyey train station is linked to Cawthorne by a bus service – see below.
Barnsley Interchange to Cawthorne is a journey time of 34 minutes. Buses running every hour on Friday and every 2 hours on Sunday. Please check timetable.
There is NO pedestrian access along Cinderhill Lane.
Please use the footpath route as designated on the map above. The footpath is accessed from the centre of the village via the Public Footpath just above Cawthorne Village Stores. Follow the path past the allotments, along the edge of the field and into the campsite. NB, This path is not accessible for wheelchair users
Wheelchair users need to access via Cinderhill Lane; please approach a festival steward at this location and arrangements will be made for you to access the festival site.
Friday 09:00 to 24:00, Saturday 09:00 to 24:00, Sunday 09:00 to 24:00.
If you arrive in a vehicle you will be directed to the festival campsite or car park. Once on foot you will be directed to the festival box to collect your wristband(s). Please ensure you have your e-Ticket with your barcode.
The debit or credit card you used to book your tickets will suffice for any ticket queries. For proof of age, a PASS (Proof of Age Standards Scheme) card, driving licence or passport may be required.
The site is relatively flat but it is a green field site and ground condition can be severely affected by the weather. Please be prepared for mud and wet grass as well as dusty dry conditions. We aim to provide a convenient, well laid out site to limit unnecessary travel for pedestrians and wheelchair users. Lighting will be used at night in key areas of the site where necessary.
THE FESTIVAL SITE
No we are unable to offer power for live-in vehicles on the festival site. If you require power on site for certain access or medical reasons please contact Callum – firstname.lastname@example.org
We are unable to provide a specific water point for Live-in vehicles on the festival site. There will be general drinking water taps located around site, but these may have limited pressure and are for many people to use, so please come with a full tank if possible.
Yes, please look out for the signs and only dispose of your Elsan waste at the designated point.
No, unfortunately we cannot guarantee this. The festival campsite is arranged on a first come first served basis, space cannot be reserved but our on-site volunteers will do their best to accommodate requests within reason.
We really hope so, and we will make all reasonable efforts to make our event as accessible as possible for all. Accessible parking and camping areas are available. We also offer free carer tickets to DLA holders. Further to this we have a dedicated accessibility facilitator who can answer your specific accessibility questions, so please do not hesitate to contact Callum – email@example.com with any concerns you may have.
No we are really sorry. As the site is a working dairy farm only assistance dogs are permitted.
Yes… But on to the campsite only. Please note – no glass is permitted on site… we do have a splendidly stocked bar offering great value drinks too! More info
Yes… Please consider shopping locally where possible. We do, of course, also have a magnificent selection of quality street-food vendors on the main festival site. More info on caterers coming shortly.

No, there is no cash machine on site. However the festival box office and several on-site traders do have card payment facilities.
Yes, the box office offers a card machine payment service, as does the festival merchandise/CD stall. Various other traders and caterers on-site also offer portable card machine services, but not all.
No please! both illegal and legal highs are not permitted.
No, please respect your fellow stargazers and try to keep campsite noise to a minimum.
We are very lucky indeed to be able to host Underneath the Stars on such a fabulous site. Please use the bins provided (especially cigarette butts!) and take your rubbish home with you when you leave the campsite. It is our duty to leave the pristine site exactly as we found it.
No. We advise you do not leave valuables unattended in your tent. When you are sleeping, keep them in an inaccessible place such as the bottom of your sleeping bag.
You can hand items in or check for lost items at Lost Property which will be located at the Box office by the main gate.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Items handed in to the festival lost property will be stored for 30 days after the event. After which time they will be donated to charity or sent for recycling.

Our ideas fairies are around and about all over the world and beyond finding performers for future Underneath the Star Festival lineups. We have a new indoor MAKERS MARKET for 2018, for those traders wishing to trade within a marquee structure. This will be a trestle table craft fair format for artisans and makers trading their handmade goods. Please follow this link to the MAKER’S MARKET application form.
For traders wishing to trade from their own structure or trade from a pre-pitched stand alone tent we now have a new TRADER’S WALK area of our festival site. Please follow this link to the TRADER’S WALK application form.
There are a small number of pitches available to crafts people who wish to offer their time to demonstrate and lead interactive workshops as part of our CRAFTS VILLAGE. These crafts people also have permissions to trade a small number of goods as part of their pitch. These pitches are by invitation only – our eagle eyed fairy scouts will be out and about and if we find suitable crafters for these pitches we will be in touch.
